Eliassen Group Hosts New York-area Agile Methodology Seminar with Experts from MTV, Standard & Poor’s, The Economist & State Street

Agile Enthusiasts from Leading New York Companies to Discuss Agile ROI and Best Practices

Wakefield, MA (June 16, 2010) – Leading technology staffing and clinical data management consulting firm Eliassen Group, has gathered seasoned IT experts from several New York-based companies – including MTV, Standard & Poor’s, The Economist and State Street – to share best practices and real-world successes in implementing Agile methodology. The breakfast seminar, to be held from 7:30-9:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 24th at The Roosevelt Hotel in New York City, not only affords attendees the opportunity to learn about the benefits of Agile methodology in today’s economy, but also further showcases Eliassen Group’s expertise in recruiting and placing Agile-specific contract staffing talent at Fortune 500 companies across the U.S.

“As attendees will learn in this panel, Agile methodology brings a range of benefits to not only IT departments, but to organizations as a whole. We established Eliassen Group’s Agile methodology practice in response to what we identified as a growing demand for IT executives with this specific type of expertise – and it has been one of our most successful initiatives,” said Ken Dreyer, CEO, Eliassen Group. “Our customers and our talent understand that the ‘one-size-fits all’ approach doesn’t work, and they appreciate our ability to offer specialized contract staffing services that demonstrate in-depth knowledge around core areas of technology.”

As part of Eliassen Group’s continued mission to promote thought leadership throughout the industry, as well as the overwhelming response to the Boston-area Agile seminar in February, the company decided to recreate the event in other key technology hotbeds where executives could benefit from a detailed “how to” from Agile enthusiasts. Moderated by Gary Beach, publisher emeritus, of CIO Magazine, Eliassen Group’s New York Agile panelists will include:

  • Nick Rockwell, EVP and CTO, MTV Networks Digital Media Technology
  • Jonathan Miller, CTO, Equity Research Services, Standard & Poor’s
  • Eric Baumes, CTO, Economist.com
  • John Perkins, Managing Directors of Technology of International Fund Services, State Street Corporation

The seminar will focus on the organizational impact of Agile development methodology and strategies and answer the questions: “What is Agile?,” “Where is the ROI?” and “Is my business ready for Agile?” Panelists will highlight the benefits of these methods for not only the technology departments, but the entire organization. CEOs, COOs, CIOs, CTOs and leaders within IT and software development organizations are highly encouraged to attend.
