In his role as Vice President, Utilization Strategy, Reed Varner is charged with developing metrics-driven resource management tools and processes to best deliver for Eliassen’s while assuring the most efficient allocation of resources from across the business. 

Prior to Eliassen’s acquisition of SafeNet Consulting in October 2023, Reed was responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations for the delivery of staffing and project-based engagements in support of SafeNet’s clients.  In addition, he oversaw the Consultant Advocate Program focusing on consultants’ professional development, retention, and re-deployment within SafeNet’s client base.  Reed is an experienced business leader with over 20 years in managing teams through growth and evolution, while running profitable lines of business.  In doing so, he is passionate about fostering a culture of accountability and respect.

Outside of work, Reed enjoys cooking, gardening, golfing, coaching his kids, and volunteering at the local food shelf.
